Lynchburg Getaway Walking Distance to Jack Daniels

James' place was perfect for our group of friends. He was gracious in accommodating an early check-in request and the house was exactly as advertised. This was my second time booking James' house and will definitely consider it again for my next weekend in Lynchburg.

We absolutely loved our countryside stay. It was so calm, peaceful, and quiet—exactly what we were looking for. We even spotted deers outside in the evening, which made the coffee in the yard even more special. The house is very spacious and, despite being older, it was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Communication throughout our stay was excellent and made everything easy and stress-free.fridge is packed with things for emergency. You don’t need to rush out in the night if you reach late. You have things to make dinner. 😊 Above all, the people in the town were incredibly warm and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our time there and wished we could have stayed a few more days. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

What a great place! I travel a lot, I book a lot of properties for my family and friends so I have expectations when I travel. This place was great! It’s an old house and a very short walk to the Lynchburg Square and the Jack Daniel Distillery. Literally walk down the driveway and cross over the street and them walk across a small walking bridge over a creek and on the other side you are in the square by Barrel House BBQ. The linens were very comfortable. The bedding was as well. The bedrooms were spacious, the kitchen was well equipped, and the living room was a great spot to watch round one of the NFL draft. There’s a nice little porch at the front of the house, there’s a carport to park under if you choose. There is a very nice outdoor fire pit with four chairs around it. I also saw collapsible bag chairs in the house. I wish we had more time, a friend and I were there specifically for a very special drop of JD whiskey at the distillery. We hope to get back someday with the wives. One thing worth mentioning, there is not much in town. There are some great stores with a couple featuring Jack Daniels products but we did not see anywhere to pick up groceries and the restaurant selection looked to be minimal. If you’re driving into town, expecting to hit a grocery store, I did not see one, so grab your stuff on the way in. Hope to be back soon!!

This house was so nice inside and they were so accommodating, letting us check in a bit early, check out a bit late if we needed to. Whatever was in the house we were able to use. It felt like home, very nice and clean. This was our favorite place thus far. It was in a quaint, quiet spot in walking distance from the Jack Daniel's Distillery. It doesn't get any better than that. There was a BBQ spot pretty much right out the door. The town of Lynchburg is so sweet with the shops also in walking distance. Great old house with a ton of Lynchburg character. Smell the smoke from the BBQ joints virtually across the street, and the lush green that surrounds the little neighborhood, while youre rocking in an old time rocking chair, and youll be taken back to a simpler time. Great place to relax, and wind down from the bussle of the world. But one thing of note is dont wait too long to decide whats for dinner, because just about everything closes at 5pm!

We always love staying here! Just a fun place to stay and walk around the town.

We were in town for an AAU basketball tournament taking place in all the neighboring towns and communities. The location is just off the downtown square in Lynchburg. The home is historic and has been well modernized while maintaining its historic integrity. Walking distance to the Jack Daniels Distillery and Museum. A couple of good restaurants also within walking distance to grab breakfast or lunch. Owners were quick to respond. We did have a malfunction of the HVAC on our last night-and as luck would have it, it was the coldest night we were there. We were able to use a space heater to keep one bedroom warm and a cabinet style propane heater to keep the other 2 bedrooms warm. I will look to stay here when we return next season.

Justin could not have been a more gracious host. His communication and accessibility were top tier. His cozy house was perfectly situated near the heart of downtown within walking distance of the downtown square to get a quick cup of coffee & breakfast before walking to the Jack Daniel's welcome center for our barrel pick. The house was clean, easy to find and had everything we could have needed for our short stay. If you find yourself visiting Lynchburg you can not find a better place to stay than this house.

This was my 3rd time staying here. Cute older home that is within walking distance of downtown Lynchburg. I enjoy the chances I get to stay here and look forward to coming back in the future.

Very spacious & nicely decorated old Victorian home! We had plenty of room and it is walking distance from the cute historic town and Jack Daniels. We came on a holiday passing through the area, so hope to be back to enjoy another time.

Walking distance to Jack Daniels is the best feature of this property. Clean. Some period furnishings. Definitely celebrates the Lynchburg whiskey history. Great hosts!

A great place with lots of space in a perfect location! Ample parking in the private drive, and the fire pit at night was wonderful during the time of year during our stay Being such a small town, even being surrounded by neighbors, it’s super peaceful at night. The town Square is literally across the creek with a pedestrian bridge so you can walk over. Jack Daniels is also very much within walking distance. Inside the house is cozy, but huge at the same time. We will definitely be looking to stay here again on our next trip down!

The home was beautiful. I grew up in a really old home so that house spoke to me. I love the old doors the old windows, the old door handles the old architecture, the beautiful high ceilings in the living room and main bedroom. I thought the place was more beautiful in person than in the pictures. I had some questions and the host communicated to me almost immediately. The place is in a great location if you wanna go to the Jack Daniels distillery and take a tour and be within walking distance of the restaurants in souvenir shops in the town Square I love that house so much. I wish I could buy it.

Great place to stay just off the square in historic Lynchburg. Super easy access to Jack Daniel’s as well. Beautiful historic home with modern amenities. Would definitely stay again!
